Semrush pricing explained: what a team actually pays

The plan price is the starting point, not the cost. Seats and add-ons are where a small team's bill quietly doubles.

The plan price is not the cost

Semrush publishes a clear plan price, and that price is accurate for one person using the core toolset. The moment a second person needs access, or you need data that sits behind an add-on, the real number moves.

What adds to the bill

Additional users are billed per seat rather than bundled. Several capabilities that feel core, including some local SEO and trend datasets, are separate paid add-ons. Project and report allowances are capped per plan, and exceeding them pushes you up a tier rather than charging overage.

Check the current figures on the official pricing page before budgeting. This category changes pricing regularly.

How to work out your number

Count the people who genuinely need their own login, not the people who would like one. Then list the modules you will use weekly. If that list has fewer than three items, you are paying for a suite to use one tool, and a focused alternative will cost far less.

When it is worth it

Agencies and in-house teams that use competitor research, technical auditing and rank tracking together get real consolidation value. A single blog needing keyword research does not.
